Captain Barbell Meets Darna
Darna had been flied to our tv screens lately. This embold's Angel Locsin's career but Locsin is now a Kapamilya Star, the network decided to eliminate all kinds of remembrance that she might left including the role of Darna.
Captain Barbell had been flied to our homes last 2006, with the new remake, GMA Network assures that if they like Captain Barbell then they will love this more.
Captain Barbell Meets Darna is the newest creation of the , GMA-7. The network aimed to combine the power, fame and the fans of each super hero to make a success. The Network also aimed to bring up a new love team soon.
Casting Darna and Captain Barbell
On a newspaper interview, Ms. Wilma Galvante said that the network might give the role to Rhian Ramos or Marian Rivera but Marian have a big chance to play the role of Dyesebel, another GMA Network's show and later on she might play the role of Thalia on Rosalinda. Captain Barbell is a trademark of Richard Gutierrez but he cannot play the role because he would be in another telefantasya after Kamandag, Gagambino. The Network considered many artist to play the role, one of them was Dennis Trillo but badly he cannot play the role because he have just appeared as Efren on the last remake of Darna. The fans pf Richard is petitioning for Richard to play the role again but still the network insist that they have not made their decision yet.
Even though Valentina and Efren are not the protagonist of the show, GMA Network is also having auditions for the roles. Some says that it will be still Alessandra De Rossi. Some rumors said that Katrina Halili but the network isn't still confirming anyone from the cast.
Everyone is assuming to play the role of Captain Barbell but somehow, they also thinked on being Efren. Many people said that they want to have more daring Efren. Many gossips said that the Network might give the role to Alfred Vargas or maybe for Dingdong Dantes.

Differences From Other Remakes
GMA Network make sured that they will win the ratings with this show. To make it happenned, some changes made the story more tweaky like:
- Louella is no more in the story instead by Lovella. A love triangle between Lovella, Ding and Levi will happenned.
- With the addition of new characters such as Aiza, the secret admirer of Ding will make the story more tweaky.
- Braguda will no more an old person but a young-faced person because of the blood of the virgins just like what Ida done in Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawakan
- Molecula's power was enhanced, aside from being a shape former, it was said that it will flirt Captain Barbell and Efren.
