Research and Development

The company is well known for designing several unique and innovative products. Various weapons and firearms publications have recommended C. J. Weapons' basic cleaning products.

For example, Denis Presbrey of Guns & Weapons for Law Enforcement Magazine says, "CJ Weappons Accessories has a very simple little widget that somebody should have thought of 40 years ago. They call 'em stars, I call 'em cogs, but whatever you call them, they 'screw' on either the front or the rear of any .223 caliber bore brush, and they're sized to perfectly fit and scrub the bolt lug recesses as you push them forward and pull them back out again."

Dave Spaulding of Guns & Weapons for Law Enforcement Magazine says, "These swabs fit over any .223 bore brush and are the best thing I have used to clean this hard to reach area."

And, Bryce M. Towsley of Shooting Illustrated Magazine says, "Lug Recess Pads, made by CJ Weapons, can help speed the cleaning process and get you back on the firing line."

In addition to these basic cleaning products. The company has also developed high-level gadgets for cleaning and maintaining firearms in the shop and in the field. For example:

Chamber Maid

The Chamber Maid is a cleaning system composed of a brush, a flexible rubber-coated rod, and a handle. This trio is screwed together to form a long and narrow chamber- and barrel-scrubbing device. The Chamber Maid is produced for eleven different kinds of firearm including rifles and shotguns.

Bore Stay

The Bore Stay locks into the chamber of a rifle (AR-15, M16, Mini-14, AR-308) in the same manner that the bolt does. The unit is hollow allowing access to the rifle's chamber and barrel for cleaning and oiling. An "O" ring CREATES a seal so that oil does not leak into the rest of the rifle's action.

MK-16

(now out of production) The MK-16 is a multi-tool designed to service the M16 and its related models. The tool is designed for use "in the field" and includes eleven different tools and functions.

Currently, the MK-16 is not being produced. The company has released news that an improved model will be available soon with six additional tools and a significantly reduced weight. This second-generation multi-tool is currently named the "MK-16A1."

Broken Shell Extractor

This is a tool for removing ruptured casings from the chamber of an automatic firearm. C. J. Weapons Accessories manufactures, but did not develop, the broken shell extractor.

AbOUT Jon Morgan's Military Service

Master Sergeant Morgan has served for 30 years in the U. S. Marine Corps. He has served in Somalia and in Operation Desert Storm of the Iraq War. He has received the Navy Commendation for heroism, the Navy Commendation for achievement, the Navy Achievement Medal, and a Combat Action Commendation with Star. The company presents Jon Morgan's military service as a significant asset in product selection and design.
