ByBox

ByBox was founded in February 2000 with the acquisition Logibag SA by Stuart Miller, Dan Turner, then merged with Dynamid one year later on the 1st FEB 2001.

In 2003, after 18 months of discussion, ByBox agreed to a five-year deal with Hays to provide it with 335 banks of electronic boxes. But only 12 weeks later Hays decided to break up the company.

ByBox then acquired the Field Service division of Hays plc, hays had a network of 10,000 locker in 500 locations, but as they had no distribution network negotiated a deal to use Hays network for 12 weeks, Bybox then intended to get a distribution partner, but with 11 weeks to spare decided to set up their own network to control consistency across the company, to do this they opened 8 distribution centre across the UK.

Expansion

In the few years following the acquisition of Field Service division of Hays Bybox moved its national hub from Rugby to a new 100,000 sq ft hub in Coventry, its Normanton DC to Doncaster as well as relocating other DC to larger premises.

In January 2007 Bybox expanded their distribution network into Europe with the opening of a French national hub in Wissous

Since then the network expanded to 18,000 boxes in more than 1,200 locations across the UK, and delivering more than 20 million items per year. In addition ByBox operates 54,000 electronic lockers in more than 20 countries worldwide.

11 November 2008 ByBox acquire competitor BearBox adding 200 electronic drop-box locations.
