Brian Michael Reed
Brian Reed is a New York City based artist.
Career
In 2010, his installation at The Museum of the Americas opened to acclaim in Washington, D.C. A follow-up solo at Chair and the Maiden Gallery in New York’s West Village generated a flurry of media coverage and enough controversy to capture the interest of the American Bar Association during which the artist "remained himself – low - key, directed and self-possessed."
In 2011 his work was recently exhibited at the The West Virginia Juried Exhibition Biennial and received the Merit Award.
West Virginia Living had this to say about Brian Reed:
"At twenty-seven, artist Brian Reed’s accomplishments in the art world are impressive and provocative. His focus on art making is relentless, but his presentation is calm and quietly, albeit intensely, engaging."
Reed continues to show solo shows nationally, most recently “A Matter of Heart” in Hudson NY, and the “Orchard of Life” on Governor’s Island, New York City.
