Brian Halsey

Brian Halsey (Kendallville, IN - 1942) is an American artist specialized in painting and printmaking. He graduated magna cum laude from the Chicago Art Institute and Michigan State University; he holds an M.A. degree in Creative Arts and Church History.

He was awarded a United States Steel Fellowship in 1969 scholarship to study at Florida State University from where he graduated in 1972. Additional study included studio art and research study in Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Holland, Paris and London.

Halsey taught art at Spring Arbor College before devoting his career full time to printmaking and painting.
