Break It Down (Malaika song)
"Break It Down" is a 1995 song and the third solo single by US singer Malaika.
After two sizable hits on A&M Records, with So Much Love" and "Gotta Know (Your Name)" (both entered Top 5 of the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart), the singer tried to hit da indie trail dipping into hip-hop waters with a composition written and produced by R.K. Jackson and Geraldine "Gere" Sigler. However, Malaika's second studio album was reportedly to follow up, the track became her only release issued on the New York's label Vestry Records, and her last single to date.
