Brad Walker (martial artist)

Brad Walker (born October 20, 1969) is an American martial artist practicing Jookahm Taekwondo. He is currently a 5th degree black belt and was the 1992 and 1993 national champion for the United States Taekwondo Foundation.

School years

Walker was born in Waco, Texas and grew up in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. In high school, Walker played basketball and obtained a Black Belt in Wado-Ryu Karate and a Black Sash in Shaolin Kung Fu. Later Walker attended Middle Tennessee State University also in Murfreesboro.

Competition years

Walker attended the Mid-American Taekwondo in Murfreesboro, where he was a member of United States Taekwondo Foundation. He was coached by his teacher Brad Whitlow, also of Murfressboro. While there, he became became the Mid-American Taekwondo's Competitor of the year, and was a part of the Mid-American Taekwondo Demonstration team. In 1992 Walker won his first national championship for men's 2nd degree black belts and in 1993 won the same championship while setting the record for the largest point lead to date.

Today

Today, Walker resides in Houston, Texas and teaches Taekwondo.
