Product
Bobble was created by Move Collective, LLC and was designed by the industrial designer Karim Rashid. It contains a carbon filter that removes chlorine and contaminants from municipal drinking water.
Bobble is made from recyclable materials and is free of BPA, Phthalates and PVC. Available in multiple sizes: 13oz, 18.5oz and 34oz. Each size accommodates the same replaceable carbon filter, that fits only on bobble bottles. When introduced, the filters came in six solid color options: red, yellow, green, blue, black and magenta. As of September, 2011, two additional solid filter colors are being offered—lavender and navy—as well as four multi-colored filter options. In March 2012, orange and white solid color filters were added to the lineup, with new colors to be introduced every Spring.
Bobble's efforts to change consumer drinking habits have been featured in numerous print articles including O: The Oprah Magazine, Shape (magazine), Popular Science and Redbook. Business magazines such as Entrepreneur (magazine), Inc. (magazine), The New York Times and Fast Company (magazine) have also covered the Move Collective product.
Product Development
Move Collective has also worked with industrial designer Karim Rashid to develop several new products to the line including bobble brush, a cleaning tool that has bristles made from static material that grabs and pulls dirt from surfaces. Bobble’s brush cleans the three bobble sizes and many other household products.
In October 2011, Move Collective launched the bobble jug. Bobble jug is a filtration system for the home. Designed by Karim Rashid, the slim design of the bobble jug allows it to sit in the refrigerator or on the dining room table. The bobble jug holds 64oz/2L.
Move Collective's most recent product introduced is bobble 24/7. Bobble 24/7, introduced in May 2012 is a new take on the original bobble. Available in magenta, purple, blue and grey tints, the bobble 24/7 has an integrated cap that serves as a carrying handle.
Move Collective has also introduced bobble ice tray, which forms 14 bobble-shaped ice cubes, slim enough to fit in to bobble bottles.
