Bob Andrews (artist manager)

Bob Andrews is a founding member of the Undertow Music Collective and an artist manager.

Andrews got his start in the music business in 1991 working in the drum shop at the historic Hewgley's Music Shop in downtown Nashville.

In 1993 he took a job as tour manager for Uncle Tupelo and worked with them until their final show on May 1, 1994. He worked as tour manager for Wilco during the recording and touring of their debut album A.M. in 1995. Around that time he started managing the Bottle Rockets , Nadine, Centro-matic and Dolly Varden.

Andrews moved to Chicago in 2000 and over the next few years expanded his management roster to include Pedro the Lion, Jay Bennett, Mark Eitzel, American Music Club, and Grammy award winner Jesse Harris.

Andrews organized The Undertow Orchestra in 2006. The band existed only as a touring ensemble and consisted of "four of today's most under the radar, yet prolific singer-songwriters", David Bazan (of Pedro the Lion and Headphones), Mark Eitzel (of American Music Club), Scott Danbom and Will Johnson (of Centro-Matic), and Vic Chesnutt. Each band member took turns on stage playing his own songs, as the other members acted as his backing band. The group performed a live radio show, as well as several tour dates around the United States and Europe.
