Blackie Dammett

Blackie Dammett (born John Michael Kiedis; December 7, 1939 - May 12, 2021) was an American actor.
Kiedis was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and wanted to become an actor. His son is Anthony Kiedis. He divorced Anthony's mother in 1968. In the early 1980s, Anthony formed the Red Hot Chili Peppers. In Anthony's autobiography, Scar Tissue, he describes how his father regularly visited the Hollywood nightclub Rainbow Bar and Grill, where he sold drugs to members of Led Zeppelin and The Who's Keith Moon among others. Later in the 1980s, Dammett felt responsible for his son's hard drug addiction. In 1991, he had another son, James, from another woman. Until 2005, he was president of the Red Hot Chili Peppers fan club. He lived in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dammett died on May 12, 2021.
