Birbal Jha
Birbal Jha' (, born October 22, 1972), is an Indian author, academician and entrepreneur. His best work and social venture is British lingua that provides easy and unfettered access to the study of English for all sections of society; and restore the social equilibrium in terms of curbing disparity in English education in Indian society. Jha helps those people who want to learn and improve their English language skills, life skills and soft skills. Jha, managing director of British Lingua has received national and international awards and appreciation for his work. He is also the editor of Lingua Bulletin, an English magazine. He has written many books on the topic of English and general interest of students. Jha is known to the youth as icon for his English literary and skills training work.
Biography
Jha was born in the remote village of Sijaul in Madhubani, India. He got his basic education and schooling there and for higher education he went to Patna where he studied and did double masters and stayed for 16 years in the capital city of Bihar. He received Ph.D degree from Patna University.
Objectives
Jha established British Lingua, an English and soft skills training institution, Delhi based, headed by him, and was initiated the Spoken English Skills training programme in colloboration with the State Council for Education Research Training, Bihar in four districts Madhubani, Darbhanga, Banka and Bhagalpur. Jha's main objective is to train the teachers who will be able to train the students, so that they could improve their ability to fluently speak, discuss and write story and poetry in English language, and for that purpose many teachers have been trained under the project. Jha also tied up with the Government of Bihar to impart Spoken English skills training to the Mahadalit youths of the state
Publications
Jha has written more than twenty books on the English language and subjects relating to personal growth of individuals. His latest book is Celebrate Your Life having five chapters which have been captioned ‘Turning On’, ‘Installing’, ‘Skilling’, ‘Your Persona’, and ‘Realisation’. These chapters have further been divided into 6-9 subchapters each. Jha's latest book "Celebrate Your Life" for its effectiveness has widely been praised even by professor of the Oxford University.
