Billhighway
Billhighway1 is a company that created an online system that allows individuals to easily manage group finances. It was started in 1999 on a college campus to help a group of students manage expenses among roommates. While it started off primarily dealing with universities and colleges, it has since expanded to Greek fraternities and sororities, professional associations and social groups, and athletic leagues and teams.
Billhighway is a financial service that caters to dues and fee-based organizations. It combines two major functions for group organizations: cash management and financial accounting.
Billhighway is located in Troy, Michigan and stands as an ISV (Independent Software Vendor). It allows groups to manage money, membership, and billing. It offers a direct customer service line as well as tutorials for all new users. Response time to an email sent to customer service is within 24 hours.

There are three different variations of Billhighway
1.Billhighway Global – this is for top-line executives of both national and international non-profit organizations
2.Billhighway Local – this is for chapter officers and advisors of local or regional chapters
3.GatewayConnect – this is for officers or coordinators of events or alumni groups
Types of Payment:
Members of the groups are able to pay either via credit card or E-check.
One is also able to mail a check to the processing center (address not made public)
*for those users who have accounts on the social networking website Facebook, there is an application to pay invoices via Facebook.
Recent Information
Billhighway was recognized as one of Michigan’s “50 Companies to Watch”2 in April of 2009.
Billhighway believes that its revenue for 2009 will be nearly $ 5 million dollars, which is a significant increase from last year. This projected growth is based on non-profit organizations who have been increasingly interested in simplifying their accounting procedures and finances in general. Billhighway currently serves 1,350 non-profit organizations.
Billhighway has become more popular in recent years as small groups are trying to streamline their finances as much as possible in order to avoid getting into debt.
