Bill Lawrence (trademark)

Bill Lawrence is the trademark of a guitar pickup manufacturer, and the anglicized name of Willi Lorenz Stich, its principal. However, Lawrence’s former partner, Jzchak Wajcman, alleges that he is the rightful trademark holder, and this matter is currently before the US courts.

On May 10, 2007 5:52 p.m. the United State District Court Of Southern California Case No. 05CV1200-LAB(CAB) entered in the court protocol of the settlement agreement a consent judgment: "Jzchak Wajcman is the sole owner of the common law trademark Bill Lawrence for use on Musical products in all 50 states and judgment is entered accordingly.

Jzchak Wajcman is the founder of the 1965 Original Bill Lawrence Guitar Pickup Company (Lawrence Electro Sound). He started that Company together with Will Stich aka Bill Lawrence.

Willi Lawrence Stich/Bill Lawrence also acknowledges that Jzchak Wajcman has all the right to use and enforce the foregoing trademark, as the law provides.
