Biberach Independent Film Festival

The Biberach Independent Film Festival (B.I.F.F.) is a film festival that premiered in November 2004 in the southwestern German town of Biberach an der Riß, which is situated just south of Ulm. The festival is for a German audience and presents recent German and international shorts and documentaries. B.I.F.F. runs parallel to a local festival of German movies - the "Filmfest Biberach" - which focusses mainly on feature films. B.I.F.F. will again take place from October 29 to November 2, 2008. The festival was originally limited to German entries only but when before the first B.I.F.F. contributions came from various countries it was decided to make the festival open for international entries. The main focus is, however, on German films, which explains why the website is mostly in German. Visiting directors, actors, producers, etc. will have a chance to also attend the Filmfest Biberach - an entirely separate festival - that takes place at the same time.
