Berita Nasional (TVRI news program)

Berita Nasional is a daily news and weather program broadcast on TVRI in Indonesia at 19:00 until 19:30 WIB by during the New Order era from 13 November 1988 until 12 May 1998 all private commercial free-to-air terrestrial television stations (RCTI, SCTV, TPI, ANteve and Indosiar) were required to relay the news program. Lasting AbOUT 10 minutes by the news is filled with national sports news and national weather forecast. Also during the New Order era, sometimes the news continued with the Pidato Presiden Republik Indonesia at 19:30 until 20:00 WIB which also must be relayed. Since the disbanded of Indonesian Ministry of Information the rule was abolished due to press freedom be ended on 12 May 1998 and replaced by Berita 19.
