Bennie Parise
Bennie Parise is an ice hockey player, currently contracted to the Los Angeles Kings NHL franchise. He plays in goal and was reported on Hockey Night in Canada by Don Cherry as a “Hybrid” goalie, during the 2006 World Junior Championships whilst representing USA. He was born in Winthrop, MA and spent his time at High school doubling up as both junior and senior team’s starting goalie.
He spent 2 seasons at the US National Development squad in Ann Arbor, MI before signing over to NCAA I side, Boston. He was taken in the 4th round of the NHL Entry Draft of 2006 by the Tampa Bay Lightning. He was acquired by Los Angeles in a trade that sent 2 draft picks to Tampa on July 18 2009. This coming year, Parise will continue his development at College as he bids to make a claim for a roster spot in Los Angeles in 2010.
