Benjamin Breny

Benjamin Breny (born 23 November 1990 in Santo Dominigo) is a belgo-Dominican racing driver, currently competing in the European F3 Open Championship. He is the only Dominican driver to have reach that level in motorsport and able to reach Formula 1.

Early life

Breny Benjamin was born in Santo Domingo on 23 November 1990 and resides in Belgium. He was abandoned at birth by his biological parents. A police officer found him and took him to the hospital Robert Reid Cabral and to the orphanage Hogar Vida y Esperanza. he was adopted at the age of four months and a half by a Belgian couple. Racing career

At the age of eleven Benjamin began his racing career with indoor karting which gave him his first taste of racing competition. two years later he switched to outdoor karting. He took part in Belgian Championship, French ChampionChip, European Championship and World Series of Karting. In 2010, he sets his first steps into single Seaters competing in the Formula Renault 2.0. Afterwards, he opted to compete in the European F3 Open Championship series with Team West-Tec and he also did a test in Formula 1.
