Bench Rules
Bench Rules is the autobiographical story of Kevin Christensen's college basketball career. The self-published book was released on October 4th, 2011. The book follows the author's career at Sonoma State University as a little-used member of the basketball team. Eventually, Christensen works his way to becoming a starter and leads the team to the championship.
Bench Rules is an acronym used by the author to outline the ten ways a reserve player can help the team even without stepping foot on the floor.

Author
Kevin Christensen was born October 15, 1982 in Sacramento, CA. He attended El Camino High School where he was an all-league player for the Eagles. Upon graduation from there, he attended Sonoma State University (SSU) as a recruited walk-on. After redshirting his first season, Christensen played four seasons for the Seawolves. Christensen earned a degree in History in 2006, but stayed at SSU as an assistant coach for two more seasons.
In 2008, Christensen got the job of Assistant Athetlic Director at Sonoma Academy High School in Santa Rosa, CA. In addition to those duties, he is also the head boys and girls basketball coach.
