BCT Guiding Documents
BCT Guiding Documents, founded in 1985, is a Dutch corporation with over 100 employees. BCT Guiding Documents supplies software for over 450 Dutch, Belgian, German, Austrian, Swiss and Swedish organizations, to control and guide their documents.
BCT Guiding Documents supports organisations in the transition to new dynamics in processes and procedures: Enterprise Content Management (ECM). ECM is the generic name for Document, Record & Workflow Management and Digital Filing.
History
BCT originally started as a mail registration company but has changed its vision over the years. Now, BCT has become an important Software company in selling diverse products and solutions within the concept of ECM.
Timeline
- 1985: P. Bordewin started off as a consultancy company named BCT.
- 1987: BCT has been taken over and changed the company name to BCT automatisering BV. BCT started to develop its own software and the name of ‘CORSA’ was born.
- 1992: The ‘Vergeb’ has been founded of which the members are administrative software users. This organisation represents the software users of BCT.
- 1994: BCT had a remarkable growth because of the company takeover of MircoPost.
- 1996: Another take-over took place: DIPAS.
- 1998: BCT took over ProDocuments of the company Prolin.
- 2000: BCT sold its HotDocs-product which is a document and workflow management systems developed for the SME.
- 2002: the company name BCT automatisering has changed into BCT – The Document Store. This changement
- 2006: independent BCT distributor in Aachen, Germany.
- 2007: Corporate identity; BCT – The Document Store became BCT Guiding Documents
The company and partners
BCT Guiding Documents is part of the BCT Holding. IDT/Capture and Pro/Future are also part of the BCT Holding. These companies focus on the development of new technologies which they put on the market themselves. Furthermore, BCT corporates with OraVision (Brunssum, Belgium) which is specialized in Oracle- and JAVA technology.
BCT sells its products by means of partnerships. Most partnerships are with companies within the Benelux. However, since the last few years BCT made new partnerships with companies outside the Benelux.
Branches
BCT focuses on many branches e.g. care, retail, real estate, media, transport and logistics and the governmental sector. In the past few years, BCT has been focusing on a more international level. Nowadays, BCT not only sells its products in the Benelux but also for example in Sweden and the United Kingdom.
Products
CORSA is the umbrella name of the solutions that BCT offers. These solutions are more (branche) specifically aimed to a specific need.
