Biography
Barry and the Penetrators was founded by lead singer Barry Peterson in Belmar, New Jersey March 1998.What happens when Roots Rock Dub Reggae meets East Coast Punk? The only words to describe this phenomenon can be broken down into eight powerful syllables: Barry and the Penetrators. This quintet of dominant Jersey Shore music makers won’t be forgetting the melting pot of musical genres where they first cut their teeth. Over 13 years, hundreds of epic shows, a stint (and album) with Suburban Noize Records(Kottonmouth Kings, Unwritten Law, Authority Zero, Hed PE, Mickey Avalon, etc.) and thousands of sold CD’s later, the Penetrators are at it again. With the addition of a great fresh, new drummer, 2012 shows no signs of slowing down for the band that has garnered top honors in their category at the Asbury Park Music Awards 4 years in a row. Currently they’re in the studio rippin’ it up now towards their 4th official release. The band is sponsored by Foster’s, Lost Clothing, Electric Sunglasses, Penetrator Kustoms, and Eastern Line Surf Shop. Barry and the Penetrators is ranked as the 25th top pop band in Belmar, New Jersey
