Baretz+Brunelle
Baretz+Brunelle is a corporate communications agency based in New York City, with additional offices in Charlotte, Chicago, Houston, Detroit, and Richmond. Baretz+Brunelle provides public relations services, including crisis communications advice, to law firms and investment advisors, including hedge funds, private equity firms and investment banks, as well as international corporations, accounting firms, consulting firms, and other professional services providers.
History
Baretz+Brunelle was founded by Spencer Baretz and Cari Brunelle in February 2016, following a partnership break-up of Hellerman Baretz Communications (HBC), the nation’s top legal PR firm at the time. HBC’s entire staff (16 members), including the firm’s Content Lab, joined Baretz+Brunelle.
In June 2016, Baretz+Brunelle promoted Jason Milch, the head of its Chicago office, to partner. Mr. Milch’s partnership was announced on the scoreboard at Wrigley Field during a Chicago Cubs game.
Awards and Recognition
Spencer Baretz appeared on the National Law Journal’s inaugural list of 50 Legal Business Trailblazers & Pioneers in 2013. In 2015, he was named a finalist for Agency Professional of the Year at the PR News PR People Awards. Cari Brunelle has previously been named Crisis Manager of the Year and a Top Woman in PR by PR News magazine, as well as one of 100 Legal Consultants You Need to Know by Lawdragon.
