Baharwa
Baharwa (Arabic: بحاروة) are the Egyptian people who live in Lower Egypt, excluding Cairo and Alexandria.

Baharwa are Egyptian people living in Lower Egypt, specifically in the following governorates:

- Qalyubia
- Beheira
- Monufia
- Gharbia
- Kafr El Sheikh
- Damietta
- Ismailia
- Suez
- Port Said
- occasionally Faiyum
Etymology
Baharwa literally means from the Nile Delta or from northern Egypt, excluding Cairo and Alexandria. It derives from the term Wajh Bahri, historically used to refer to northern Egypt, particularly the Nile Delta region.
Language
The Baharwa speak Egyptian Arabic, yet there are various local dialects in the Nile Delta region, with each governorate having its own. All of these dialects are understood throughout Egypt.
Religion
Religion represents an important aspect of the Baharwa's identity, as most of them follow Sunni Islam, adhering to their religious traditions in daily life and social occasions. In addition, there is a small minority who practice Christianity, living in harmony with their Muslim neighbors, reflecting religious diversity and peaceful coexistence in Egyptian society.
