Baba Satti

Baba Satti was the son of a Persian Princess of Sasanian Dynasty and Pothohar (Kahuta) Rajput Brahman.

Biography

A Persian Prince (Fakhir Alam Khan) of Sassanian dynasty with his army was on his way to invade Dehli, they stuck in lower Himalayan mountain-caves near Kashmir.The kings and prince of that era used to take their family members with them during a campaign.It is believed that the Persian army was attacked by local tribes and the Wounded Prince and His army had to move to a family friend Rajput Brahman Raja. Prince died and Princess gave birth to a son in a cave, stayed there for Seven days. thats why he was given name of SATTI. She stayed there being sister of Brahman Rajput. Baba Satti grownup and married to a beautiful muslim tribe girl of Kathwals, as He was a Muslim. The descendants of Baba Satti are known as Satti. Satti Rajputs then settled in Kahuta, Muree and surrounding areas.
