AyaCon
AyaCon is one of the larger anime conventions in the United Kingdom. Its first event was held at the Grand Hotel, Birmingham in 1998 - the convention has run a total of 5 times.
AyaCon 5
The most recent event, AyaCon 5, was held at the Warwick Arts Centre, University of Warwick in August 2005. Attendance was approximately 1,200 people, making it one of the biggest anime conventions in the United Kingdom.
It was also the first UK appearance of the JRock band BLOOD.
AyaCon went on hiatus in 2006 to allow AmeCon to run, as not to overcrowd the convention calendar.
