Awesome Car Funmaker
Awesome Car Funmaker is a rock band from Madison, WI. They are known for their fast music and energetic live shows.
History
Awesome Car Funmaker formed in June 2003. Their name is "a joke that went too far derived from the first time the band members all met" when nobody was allowed to leave the restaurant they were at before a name was decided upon. In November 2004, Awesome Car Funmaker released their first album Green Means Go. ACF was then chosen as Madison's best new artist or Group in 2005. In 2006, the band was signed to the now defunct Cancer Records, which released their second album, Of Lovers and Monsters, in March 2006. With Adam Manos taking over on drums, Awesome Car Funmaker spent the next two years touring and recording. They also appeared as the stars of a cartoon by local comedy troop Public Drunkards. In 2007 Awesome Car Funmaker embarked on A Tour of the Midwest with Chicago band Cealed Kasket called "Midwest Bleeds Best Tour". As of September 18, 2007, Awesome Car Funmaker has said to have finished mixing their New album.
