Avril Lavigne's Make 5 Wishes
Avril Lavigne's Make 5 Wishes is a manga style comic book written by Joshua Dysart with artwork by Camilla D’Errico. The first Volume was released by Del Rey on April 10 2007.
Plot
The story is about a teenage girl called Hana. She is lonely and unpopular at school, so she spends most of her time on the internet creating “various cool, smart, sexy and popular alter egos.” Her "best friend" is an imaginary version of Avril Lavigne (who acts as Hana's conscience as well as an imaginary friend). One day Hana stumbles across a website, www.make5wishes.com, and orders a box that contains something that will give her wishes. A demon comes out of the box and becomes her friend. The demon secretly messes with the people she talks to online while she sleeps. Hana meets Avril Lavigne and together they both help to conquer Hana's personal demons once her wishes start to go bad.
Themes
The comic address the stress of moden teenage life and the pressures of family termoil, shows through escapeism and desperation of the main character, Hana.
Avril Lavigne
An imaginary alter ego of Avril Lavigne appears in the story as one of the main characters. Hana dreams of meeting Avril and being close friends. Avril responds to this:

The first comic volume was released in America and in the UK on April 10 2007. There is also a second Comic volume released July 3 2007. The Comic was also released on Brazil with the name "faça cinco pedidos".
