Association of Young Azerbaijani Professionals in Europe - AYAPE

The Association of Young Azerbaijani Professionals in Europe is a non- governmental, non-profit organization that organises projects in the field of youth and education in Europe. AYAPE was established in 2013 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

History and management

The management of the association is carried out by a board and a secretary general. Board of the association consist of four alumnus of prestigious European universities: Ramazan Samadov, Ahmet T. Paksu, Ziya Gaziyev and Yalchin Mammadov. Ramazan Samadov is an acting Secretary-General.

Aims and impact

AYAPE contributes to the process of European integration of Azerbaijan by using the synergy of network of young professionals.

Activities

AYAPE has 2 ongoing projects:

Internship Project of Azerbaijani Youth (IPAY)

The association in co-operation with AZEDER has launched the Internship Project of Azerbaijani Youth (IPAY 2013). As internship plays an important role in a professional career, AYAPE CREATES internship opportunities outside the country for Azerbaijani students and young professionals in EU institutions, international NGOs and professional associations as well as in internationally ACTIVE companies.

In the first phase of the project four Azerbaijani students did their internship with the Members of the European Parliament in Brussels from May till July. In the second phase sixteen students have started their internship in October 2013 in Brussels, Rotterdam and Vienna.

This project is financed by Partner International Association for Dialogue and Partnership.

NoName Networking Evenings (NoNE)

AYAPE initiates regular informal meetings of Azerbaijani professionals in different cities across Europe. It started with the networking meetings in Rotterdam and Brussels.
