Arsalan Ghahramani
Arsalan Ghahramani is a researcher in the area of Soil Mechanics.Many have considered him as the Father of Soil Mechanics of Iran. He has made significant contributions in the area of Soil Mechanics (particularly the Zero Extension Line Theory for several applications in soil mechanics and foundation engineering). He has received his Ph.D. degree from the Department Of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Princeton.
Arsalan Ghahramani is currently Professor of Geotechnical Engineering at Civil Engineering Department of University of Shiraz. Some of his major contributions are graduating first Iranian students in soil mechanics and foundation engineering and design of Tehran Tower foundation, 440 meters high. He has been recognized as one of the outstanding Iranian professors (as one of the long-lasting scientific FACES) in 2008.
