Appalachian Search and Rescue Conference
The '''Appalachian Search & Rescue Conference''' (ASRC) is a wilderness search and rescue organization that provides professional volunteers trained in search management and field operations for missions in the mid-Atlantic region. Services include all-weather search and rescue for missing persons and downed aircraft, complete search and rescue management, as well as safety and survival education. The conference comprises individual groups of professional volunteers who dedicate extensive amounts of time for rigorous training, search missions, group functions, preventative instruction, and public awareness. With ten teams spanning six states and over 400 ACTIVE members, the ASRC is one of the largest SAR resources in the country.
Currently the ASRC is composed of the following teams:

Blue Ridge Mountain Rescue Group - Charlottsville, VA
DELMARVA search and Rescue - Cordova, MD
Maryland Search and Rescue - Columbia, MD
Mountaineer Area Rescue Group - Morgantown, WV
Potomac Valley Search and Rescue - College Park, MD
Shenandoah Mountain Rescue Group - Vienna, VA
Southwest Virginia Mountain Rescue Group - Blacksburg, VA
Rapid Assistance to Comunity Emergencies - Columbus, OH* (Current probationary team)
