Antipodium

Antipodium is a London-based, Australian made womenswear label that provides a range of versatile, wearable and contemporary clothes for the cream of fashion.

Antipodium was founded in 2003 in Shoreditch, London, by Australian ex-pats Geoffrey J. Finch and Ashe Peacock as a retail store, Public Relations and wholesale agency, specializing in Australian and New Zealand fashion including Alice McCall, Karen Walker, and Gail Sorronda.
In 2006, Ashe Peacock and Geoffrey J. Finch collaborated with Peacock's sister Fenella, the woman behind 1980s label Empire Line, to create a capsule offering for the store. The range featured the type of chic basics not offered in the Antipodium store or by the labels they represented, such as shirtdresses, shirts, bodysuits and miniskirts. Often described as "on-season partywear" and "basics with a twist", Antipodium is well-known for its playful use of Australian iconography and catchy garment names (such as the DownUnder bodysuit and FourPlay top).

After the initial success of this first offering, the trio decided to continue the range, launching their first collection 'Buttons Up' at London Fashion Week 2006. In January 2008, British TV presenter and former fashion model Alexa Chung was announced as the face of Antipodium's Spring Summer 08 collection.

Antipodium is now sold in over 100 stores in 11 countries, including Harvey Nichols, Liberty of London, Urban Outfitters and Lane Crawford.
