Anomalous cognition

Anomalous cognition is a blanket term used to describe the purported transfer of information to a subject through means other than the 5 traditional senses. It is usually used in relation to telepathy, clairvoyance, remote viewing, and other phenomona said to be evidence of extra-sensory perception.

This is an umbrella term used to label an information transfer which may comprise one or more underlying processes. The term was coined by Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).
