Anika Binte Kasem
Anika Binte Kasem (born June 16, 1989) is a notable youth volunteer and youth trainer of Bangladesh. Anika was a renowned face of The United Nations Youth and Students Association of Bangladesh (UNYSAB) from 2010 to 2014 and she retired as the Senior Vice President of this organization. She was awarded The Outstanding Young Persons of Bangladesh 2013 in the category of Contribution to children, world peace, and/or human rights for her work regarding street children of Bangladesh.
Work
Being one well known face in South-East Asian Model United Nations circuit, Anika has chaired a number of Major MUNs in Bangladesh and India (e.g. Mumbai Model United Nations 2013, SAI Model United Nations Bhubaneshwar 2013, Bangladesh Model United Nations 2011/2013, Bangladesh International Model United Nations 2012, BRAINWIZ Model United Nations 2013, DHAKA+20, Dhaka University National Model United Nations 2012/2013 etc.). She has trained a huge number of Bangladeshi students on United Nation's norms, rules, regulations, proceedings and resolutions.
Other than her contribution to youth training Anika has conducted a few noted social welfare projects such as Eid for Street Children, Lets Unite for Savar Victims, Project Happy Birthday Etc.
