Angelo State College of Sciences

The Angelo State University College of Science is a college at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. The College consists of six departments offering over 22 degree's. The college stands out nationally as it offers many opportunities for undergraduate research. The ASU physics program is nationally renowned. The Planetarium is the 4th largest among the nation's colleges and universities and the Physics Department is ranked as one of the top 20 undergraduate programs in the nation by Physics Today.

Natural History Collection

Angelo State Universities Natural History Collection was founded in 1960 by Drs. Wilmot A. Thornton and Gordon C. Creel. The collection is now one of the largest in the State & indeed the nation including over 11,000 specimens.

MIR Center

The Management Instruction and Research Center is a 6,000 acre ranch consisting of range and farmland that serves as a teaching and research facility for Angelo State University students and faculty. Current research concentrates on range research, wildlife research, beef cattle research, ruminant nutrition research, sheep and goat research, and food science and meat safety research.
