Andy Barnett (radio)

Andy Barnett is a radio talk show host and a news & political commentator who has been on the air waves throughout the Midwest. His most recent stint was with KNSI radio in St. Cloud, Minnesota but he has also been on the air in other capacities in Kansas City, Missouri, Topeka, Kansas, Des Moines, Iowa, and Springfield, Missouri.

Radio show

The show hosted by Barnett featured a wide variety of guests including national political figures like Ann Coulter, Grover Norquist, Al Franken, Bill Donahue, and Vin Weber. Barnett's program dealt with a variety of topics in news, politics, and social issues. Other frequent guests included U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann, Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, U.S. Senator Norm Coleman, and other local and state politicians. Other organizations frequently invited on the program to discuss the issues were members of the Alliance Defense Fund, the Catholic League, EdWatch.com, the Minnesota Taxpayer's League, and the Parents Television Council.

Education

Barnett is a graduate of Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri with a bachelors degree in mass media. He also attended high school at Overland Christian High School in Overland Park, Kansas.

Controversy

Barnett most recently gained notoriety after being fired for asking candidates for city council in St. Cloud, Minnesota AbOUT hot button issues including whether or not they were pro-life or pro-choice. The news made headlines nationally and he was a guest on the Glenn Beck Show on CNN Headline News Channel.
