Andrew Wines
Andrew Wines has served as the Councillor for Enoggera Ward, in the Brisbane City Council, since being elected in March 2008. He first joined the Enoggera community when his father was posted to the Enoggera Army Barracks. Andrew later completed his education at Mt Maria College at Mitchelton. He currently resides in Keperra and in the past has lived in Enoggera and Alderley.
The Enoggera Ward comprises over 26,000 residents of Upper Kedron, Ferny Grove, Mitchelton, Keperra, Grovely, Enoggera, Newmarket, and the Grange suburbs.
Andrew has a background in Economics and prior to being elected, worked in the field of Design and Construction with one of Australia’s largest corporations, in the management team of one of the most successful PPPs in Queensland. In 2012 Andrew Graduated from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) with a Bachelor of Business majoring in Economics and Marketing.
Andrew has been actively involved in numerous Council committees. As of 2012, Andrew is the Deputy Chair of the Brisbane Lifestyle Committee, and a member on the Neighbourhood Planning and Development Assessment Committee.
As an active member of the local community, Andrew plays cricket for the Ferny Fireballs. He is also the patron of the Westside Football Club, and regularly attends community group meetings and events, including Neighbourhood Watch, Chamber of Commerce.
