Andrew Edlin
Andrew Edlin (American, b. 1961) is the owner of Andrew Edlin Gallery, a contemporary art gallery which opened in 2001 and is located in the Chelsea district of New York City.
Biography
Andrew Edlin was born in Manhattan, New York, September 18, 1961 and grew up in the Riverdale section of the Bronx. He received his B.A. in English from the University of Vermont in 1983. Edlin founded Andrew Edlin Gallery in 2001, specializing in self-taught/outsider artists.
Edlin is married to Valérie Rousseau. Edlin’s other artistic endeavors include being guitarist/singer/songwriter for the band "The Lorax."

Andrew Edlin Gallery opened in 2001 in Chelsea, Manhattan with a focus on outsider art, or self-taught artists. In 2002 it was the first to exhibit the works of Swiss artist Hans Krüsi in North America. In 2003 it exhibited Henry Darger, Adolf Wölfli, and Martin Ramirez. In 2006, it was awarded exclusive representation of the estate of Henry Darger. In 2011 artist Thornton Dial began a touring retrospective exhibition. It has also exhibited Frank Calloway and Chris Doyle. In 2011 it held an exhibition All Folked up! in honor of the American Folk Art Museum.
