Andrea Vidali
Andrea Vidali (born July 1963) is an Italian surgeon, reproductive endocrinologist, reproductive immunologist, and businessman. Vidali is the founder of Endometriosis Surgical Specialists International (ESSI). His work focuses on endometriosis excision surgery, fertility-preserving gynecologic surgery, and reproductive immunology.
Biography
Early life, education, and training
Vidali was born in July 1963 in Padova, Italy. He is the son of Giorgio Vidali, a researcher at Rockefeller University known for early studies on histones. Vidali moved to New York City as a youth and attended Stuyvesant High School.
Career
He also collaborated with reproductive immunologists, including Jeffrey Braverman, on research and clinical approaches addressing immunological factors in infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, and implantation failure. In November 2020, Vidali founded Pregmune, a testing and reporting platform for immunological evaluation related to recurrent miscarriage, infertility, and IVF failure.
Personal life
Vidali lives in New York with his wife, Iffet, and five children.
