American Musical Theatre Academy of London
The American MusicAL Theatre Academy of London is an independent musical theatre performing arts school situated in the Old Street area of London. Tuition is focused on the American style of performance , i.e. high energy, expressive and fast-paced learning. Emphasis is also placed on the business side of performing arts, as well as the emotional aspect, and life coaching is offered as part of the programme. The school was founded in 2008 by two Canadian actors, Kenneth Avery-Clark and Christie Miller, who is also a trained life coach. It is a principle of the school that all faculty members are working performers. Originally a part time school it now offers vocational one-year full time musical theatre performing arts programme as well as a twelve week programme on Sundays. Students of the full time programme are taken to New York for one week during the winter term to study with Broadway professionals.
