Amalia Hall
Amalia Hall (b. 15 February, 1989) is a New Zealand violinist.
She began playing the violin at the age of three and within four years had completed all ten books of the repertoire of the Suzuki method.
Hall will enter The Curtis Institute of Music in September 2008 to study with renowned violinists Pamela Frank and Joseph Silverstein.
Hall has performed with orchestras such as Auckland Philharmonia, Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, St Matthews Chamber Orchestra, Auckland Symphony Orchestra, Auckland Youth Orchestra, and the Russian Symphony Orchestra.
She has performed under esteemed conductors such as Sir William Southgate, Brian Law, Mark Taddei, Yuri Tkachenko, Harry Spence Lyth, Gary Daverne, Peter Scholes, Rupert D'Cruze, David Sharp, Joachim Atanassov and Antun Poljanich.
She attained her Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Auckland studying with Dimitri Atanassov in 2008.

- 1st prize, 2007 Third Annual Pettman/Royal Over-Seas League ARTS International Scholarship for a New Zealand Chamber Ensemble.
- 1st prize, 2007 PACANZ Young Musician of the Year.
- 1st prize, 2006 New Zealand National Concerto Competition.
- 1st prize, 2006 International Gisborne Music Competition.
- 3rd prize and Special Prize for the best interpretation of Bach, 2005 Kloster Schontal Competition.
- 6th prize, 2004 International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians.
