Altai Republic in the Türkvizyon Song Contest

Altai Republic has participated in the Türkvizyon Song Contest once since its début in 2013. The Altaian broadcaster, STRC "Altai Mountains", has been the organiser of the Altaian entry since its début. In 2013, Altai Republic's first entry at Türkvizyon, Artur Marlujokov, qualified from the semi-final, and placed 5th in the final achieving 189 points. Altai Republic withdrew from the 2014 contest.

History

Altai Republic made their debut in the Türkvizyon Song Contest 2013 in Eskişehir, Turkey. On 20 July 2014 it was announced that the Altai Republic would make their second appearance at the Türkvizyon Song Contest 2014 to be held in Kazan, Tatarstan in November 2014. However, an updated participation list was published on 10 September 2014, which no longer shown Altai Republic as participating, although it is unknown as to why they do not show on the list.
