Almosafer
Almosafer Travel & Tourism Co. is a Saudi Arabian travel and tourism company, wholly owned by Seera Group, a holding company listed on the Saudi STOCK Exchange (Tadawul). Established in 2012, Almosafer has its headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with additional offices across the Kingdom, as well as in the UAE, Egypt, and Jordan. Almosafer provides travel services to individual travellers, corporate clients, and government entities, as well as B2B partners for religious and leisure travel, while functioning as a national travel brand.
History
Almosafer was established in 2012 as a social media-based flight booking platform. In January 2015, Al Tayyar Travel Group (now Seera Group) acquired a 60% stake, followed by a full acquisition in 2018. The company expanded its service offerings to include stay bookings, holiday packages, and car rentals. In 2019, it opened its first physical retail branch, moving to an omnichannel model. In 2022, Seera Group amalgamated all its travel-related business units under the Almosafer brand. Almosafer Travel & Tourism Co. now operates five distinct business units catering to key verticals across the travel & tourism ecosystem.
Management
Muzzammil Ahussain is the CEO of Almosafer Travel & Tourism Co. He joined the organization in 2016, holding roles as Chief Operating Officer for Seera’s online business unit and Executive Vice President of Travel. Following the 2022 brand consolidation, he was appointed CEO and currently manages the company’s portfolio across the consumer, corporate, leisure and religious travel sectors.
Partnership
Almosafer operates as a central intermediary in Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector, aligned with Vision 2030. The company coordinates with government entities, including the Saudi Tourism Authority and the Ministry of Hajj & Umrah (Nusuk), to manage domestic, inbound, and pilgrimage travel. Its commercial network encompasses partnerships with Giga projects like Qiddiyah City and Red Sea Global, the PIF-backed hospitality company Adeera, national air carriers SAUDIA and Riyadh Air, and major global hotel chains including Marriott, IHG, and Accor. Almosafer further integrates consumer loyalty programs, such as STC Qitaf, Shukran, AlFursan, and Al Rajhi Bank's Mokafaa, while collaborating with regional and international tourism boards, including Visit Dubai, Visit Qatar, and the tourism authorities of Thailand, Britain and Singapore, to facilitate outbound and regional travel. In May 2026, Almosafer has partnered with Accor’s Makkah Cluster to improve religious tourism in Saudi.
Awards & Recognition
The company has received recognition from the World Travel Awards and was ranked by the Ministry of Hajj & Umrah for its service provision during the 2024 Hajj season/ Almosafer also received over 35 World Travel Awards. Almosafer is a member of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) and an affiliate member of the UN Tourism (UNWTO).
