Alexis Kasperavičius
Alexis Kasperavičius (aka Alex Kasper or Alex Kasperavicius) is a well known security consultant and trainer in the computer and legal security field as well as a multimedia producer.
Alexis was born on April 14, 1968 in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Los Angeles, California. A technology enthusiast from early on and primarily interested in the telephone system, he eventually developed a good working knowledge of the US telephone network.
In the 1980's Alexis met Lewis DePayne, Kevin Mitnick, Dave Harrison, Lenny Dicicco, Terry Hardy, Susan Headley and others. Discovering their mutual interest in telephones and computers, the group became fast friends and over the 1980’s and 1990’s all worked together on various projects.
This loose group of "hackers" is sometimes referred to as "The Roscoe Gang" and is noted for having two of its members (Kevin Mitnick and Lewis DePayne) aggressively prosecuted by the U.S. Federal Government for what would today be considered extremely minor infractions.
Alexis co-authored the Certified Social Engineering Prevention Specialist (CSEPS) workshop and certification with Mitnick and consults for a number of companies in the Los Angeles area.
