Alexander Zaytsev (businessman)

Alexander Zaitsev (, born 1976) is a Belarusian businessman. He is notable for his relatively fast ascent on the list of Belarus' wealthiest businessmen. The origins of his wealth are unknown which is only seen conspicuous for the fact that up until sometime in the 2000s he had been a minor public servant and assistant to Viktor Lukashenko. Zaitsev is said to have lived in the United Arab Emirates for a decade, between 2008 and 2018 or so and have business interests there.
Alexander was born in Ruzhany in Brest Region in 1976. He graduated from the Belarusian State Economic University and worked in the Ministry of Economy. He was an assistant to Prime Minister Sergei Sidorsky and Viktor Lukashenko.
Alexander is known to have business ventures in Lithuania and he was named in the Paradise Papers as having an offshore company in Cyprus.
Alexander is the owner of Belarusian football club FC Dinamo Brest.<ref name="bio" />
