Alex Kramer (presenter)

Alexandra Kramer (born 29 March 1978 in London) is a British television game show presenter.

Biography

Alex Kramer is half Portuguese. She graduated in 2000 with a B.A. (Hons) in journalism. She has eleven GCSEs including several A grades, three A-levels, and a degree. She has worked at the BBC and Five, and as a Newsdesk Producer, Output Producer, Floor Manager, and Studio Camera Operator for ITN.

Kramer began her on-screen TV career as a weather presenter for Five and a locations presenter for holiday channel Teletext Holidays. She also presented a dating show on Sky ACTIVE and presented on the Express Shopping channel. She has reported for the BBC's Liquid News and The Edit on Five. She has also worked for Top Shop TV, hosting nationwide events for them, as well as appearing on their big screens in store.

Kramer worked for gaming channel Quiz Call, then owned by Channel 4, for thirteen months. She then moved to ITV in September 2006 to co-present, with Ben Baldwin, the late-night game show Make Your Play which has now ceased broadcasting, and was also shown until March 2007 on the ITV Play channel.

She appeared in the 4 episodes of BBC3's "The Bulls**t Detective" from 12 April to 3 May 2007. The show attempted to reveal the deceptive marketing of goods and services of questionable worth.

She is the presenter of the Microsoft Vista in-store promotional video.

Kramer presented for the last time on Make Your Play on 7 April 2007, and on that show, she announced that she was moving on to co-host Glitterball on ITV. She made her first appearance on the show on 18 April 2007, and helped end the show on 30 September, 2007.

She was featured in the December 2006 EDition of Maxim magazine as one of the Girls of 2007.

According to the Sun website, she is in negotiations to present her own daily 5pm chatshow on ITV in The Spring of 2008. A multi-million pound deal is being discussed. A Pilot is due to be made shortly.

She is the most popular of all the Quiz show presenters, having had currently 7 letters published AbOUT her on both the BBC Ceefax and ITV Telextext TV comment pages.
