Alex Face
Alex Face is a Swedish garage rock band based in Gothenburg. The band was formed in 2000 during a gig at an art school party. They are currently signed to Gothenburg punkrock label Alleycat Records.
Music
Alex Face started out playing rough blues, writing songs without ever discussing what sound to aim for. The songs gradually grew harder and faster, and soon was more akin to garage rock than blues, hence the "garage blues"-term used to define the Alex Face sound. Their influences are said to be "all the good and the bad bands" . The band are prolific songwriters, sometimes making several new songs during each rehearsal. They have had airtime and done InterViews on Swedish national radioshows P3 Demo, P3 Rock and P3 Lab. Their debut album is out on March 3, 2007 on Alleycat Records. The album was recorded at studio Spikstudion, and mastered by Henryk Lipp (famous for his work with Union Carbide Productions, Millencolin, and Kent).
