Alejandro Pérez (Principal)

Alejandro "Alex" Pérez is an educator, recently as an administrator that has been recognized by organizations and individuals for his efforts. He served in Florida, in the city of Miami. He currently serves as Principal at Coral Way Bilingual K-8 Center.

Work at Comstock Elementary

Pérez started his career at Comstock Elementary School as Principal. He arrived at Comstock when it was a failing school. Under the years as he was Principal, however, the school rised to the "C" ranking. He allowed this rise by providing tutoring and Saturday math academies, hosting activities, and encouraging faculty to work harder.

Recognitions

Florida Governor Jeb Bush extolled Perez by showing his accomplishments were an example of "how incredible things can happen". He also stated that Perez made Comstock a "place where children want to be."

Perez was a finalist for the Leonard Miller Principal Leadership Award; he received $5000.

Perez participated in some council programs, such as Executive PASS, 2005 Florida Leadership Academy, 2006 Miami- Instructional Leadership Academy.
