AhnLab Inc
AhnLab Inc. (listed in KOSDAQ), founded in 1995, is one of the security solution provider in South Korea. AhnLab sells computer software such as antivirus software, online security solution, network security appliances such as Firewall, IPS, UTM, and security software for online game and Mobile Web.
History
Charles Ahn (founder and chairman) found his computer infected with computer virus called "brain". He developed a program and named it "Vaccine". Since then, anti-virus software has been called "Vaccine software" in Korea. Chulsoo, Ahn promoted a new company in 1995.
In September 2001, AhnLab Listed in KOSDAQ #53800
The year of the tenth anniversary of its establishment (2005), Charles Ahn resigned the CEO, and the company turned to a professional manager.
AhnLab was selected 'The KOREA’s Most Admired Company' the five years from 2004 to 2008
