Ahmed Al-Qahtani
Dr. Ahmed Al-Qahtani is the president and founder of AQ Skin Solutions. Founded in 2008, the company is known for its Growth Factor (GF) technology, with two patents pending as of 2012 in advanced collection and production of the purest form of human growth factors, and utilizing them in topical skin care products, hair, and other therapeutic applications. Prior to the launch of the company, Dr. Al-Qahtani began his career researching medical applications of growth factors for healing wounded tissue and burns. Dermatology studies in skin wound repair and regeneration show that the success of the wound healing process depends on growth factors and their signalling ability to coordinate cellular processes. As a researcher in Immunology, he developed a process for producing the highest quality growth factors utilizing a specialized cell line that was later named after him by the ATCC. Growth factors, part of the body’s natural healing mechanism, when applied through various skin treatments, are able to tackle everyday skin problems such as acne scars, hyperpigmentation, photo-damaged skin and other conditions. When applied to the skin surface, growth factors penetrate the epidermis and work to 'fertilize' the skin through the same underlying mechanism of wound healing. The growth factors developed by Dr. Al-Qahtani and formulated in skin products play an important part in maintaining healthy skin structure and function.
