Adama Diawara
Adama Diawara, (born August 7, 1983 in Mali), is a Malian soccer Forward. He currently plays for the St. Paul Twin Stars, a men's team in the NPSL, and is their all time leading goal scorer.
Career
He is currently playing for the St. Paul Twin Stars under head coach Youssef Darbaki.
Adama made his debut in the NPSL at age 22, started for most of his games, and flourished, scoring 12 goals in 13 appearances, still his highest scoring season to date.
In the 2008 season, he helped the team in the attack, scoring 9 of the teams 17 goals in 9 games, helping them win their first ever Midwest Region title, also earning himself a name on the NPSL Midwest All-Star team. He finished the season with a finalist appearance in the National Final Four Tournament.
2009 was a successful season, scoring 7 goals in 9 games. His performances helped the Twinstars not only earn their second consecutive Midwest Title, but made himself win a second successive All-Star team honor, but ending the season with disappointment in the Final Four, with a 4-1 loss in the Semi-Final against the Sonoma County Sol.
