Adam Bond

Adam Richardson BOND (born 30 May 1981) is a British-American actor, stage director and model. He began his career as a teenager as a film extra in Stanley Kubrick's final film, Eyes Wide Shut. He has had minor roles in films such as Green Zone, Legally Blonde, National Treasure: Book of Secrets and Inkheart.

Early life

Bond was born in Wimbledon, London, England. His father is a retired American aviation management consultant and his mother, Elizabeth, is an American operatic Mezzo-Soprano. His father is of Irish and Polish-Jewish ancestry and his mother is of French, Irish, Scottish, and Sioux heritage. He has an older sister, Emily. Bond grew up all over London, living in Notting Hill, Chiswick and Paddington, attending Westminster Cathedral Choir School, The American School in London, University of California, San Diego and University of St Andrews from where he graduated with an M.A. (with Honours) International Relations with a concentration in [...] Studies.

Following his graduation from University, Bond was interviewed to various levels for a career in intelligence with both the Secret Intelligence Service and the Central Intelligence Agency. However, in both cases his dual citizenship was identified as a disqualifying factor for work with both agencies. Following a year of working and living as an intelligence analyst for a private sector security consulting firm in Houston, Bond returned to his passion and began training at Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

Career

Film and Television

Bond appeared in several television productions in the United Kingdom including Love Soup, The IT Crowd and Psychoville. The majority of Bond's feature film work has been in smaller roles, most notably Inkheart as Prince Charming. His commercial work, however, has seen him as a transformation model for Hydroxycut, for which he was featured in magazines and television advertising throughout the United States in 2011.

Theatre

Bond began to perform at a very early age in productions on stage, citing his mother's operatic career as a primary influence. Some of his earliest performances were with Opera Holland Park. Today, a great deal of his time is spent performing in Crested Butte with the Crested Butte Mountain Theatre.

Charity work

Bond has worked on several occasions with Mercy Ships, on two separate vessels, the MV Caribbean Mercy and the MS Africa Mercy - both at sea/on outreach and in port during renovation/vessel conversion work. In addition, he is a proud supporter of the efforts of the Red Lady Coalition, an organization committed to the opposition to a proposed molybdenum mine on Mt. Emmons ("Red Lady"), just above Crested Butte.
